Knight Lesson For The Week of November 6th- Pay Attention To Speakers
This week on Friday, we will celebrate Veterans Day. Since we will be celebrating Veterans Day and there will be various speakers at the assembly, our focus for this week will be paying attention to speakers. This emphasis is part of our PBIS Behavior Matrix and also connects with our Social Behavior goal of having responsible verbal and physical interactions with peers and adults.
Students can display respect for teachers and guest speakers by making sure things that might be distractions are put away. Additionally, students should have their eyes on the speaker and should not be talking with other students. Paying attention also means not distracting others with your feet or any movements that could cause a distraction. Nodding and facial expressions can also signal to the speaker that you are paying attention to what is being said.

On Friday, we will hear stories from those who have committed so much for our freedom. Let's show them our undivided attention!
