Knight Lesson of the Week of January 8th- Be Respectful and be aware of other classes and activities

This week our Knight lesson is about awareness of other classes and activities. This is an important lesson for the week as we enter into i-Ready testing. We are all going to be testing at different times of the day, so it is important to be aware of what other classes have going on. If we are too loud in the halls, this could become distracting for others. This is not just the case this week, but all days at school or in our daily lives. When others are causing distractions, it becomes a challenge to focus on what we need to accomplish. So, Be Respectful and be aware of other classes and activities.

2024 New Glarus School District Spelling Bee

On the evening of January 3rd, the Middle and Elementary school held the annual spelling bee. We had 24 contestants that participated, from 4th through 8th grade. It was an impressive competition that went well into the evening. We are proud of all of the students who participated in this competition. A big congratulations to 7th grader Lucy Sidwell, who was the Winner of the Bee, and to 4th grader Emmett Lamb, who was the runner-up. These two students will continue on to the regional Spelling Bee in Stoughton, later this month. We know that they will represent our school well!

Knight Lesson For The Week of February 26th- Be Responsible By Cleaning The Table and The Floor Around You

This week’s Knight Lesson is to be responsible by cleaning the table and floor around you. This is a great way for each of us to be a Knight. We can help each other out by working together to keep things clean. This will also help give others who come into our school a great impression of the school and its students. This is the same when you are in public places or at home. When things are clean we all feel better about the environment that we are in.

Knight Lesson For The Week Of February 5th- Be Kind and Encourage Others

This week's Knight Lesson is to be kind and encourage others. Encouraging our peers can benefit both our peers and ourselves. When we encourage others, it can help them feel better about themselves and help them have the confidence to do things that they did not think that they could do. It does often come back to help us as well. When you see someone do something that they did not think they could do, you also feel encouraged to try new things and know that you helped someone else. Encouragement is infectious, when students see others being encouraging, it helps them want to be encouraging as well.
