NGMS- STEM Turkey Towers
Our 7th and 8th graders stuffed their brains with engineering fun last week as they put their design process skills to the test, in a Thanksgiving-themed challenge! Using only limited materials, students were challenged to build their very own Turkey Towers, each designed to hold as much weight as possible.
And trust us… they didn’t wing it.
From towering turkey masterpieces to wobbly wonders reminiscent of cranberry sauce, every structure told a story of creativity, perseverance, and a whole lot of laughter.
What stood out the most?
-
Teamwork that lifted spirits (and sometimes turkey towers!)
-
Problem-solving that would impress any engineer
-
Holiday cheer that filled our classrooms like the smell of pumpkin pie
Some towers stood tall and triumphant. Others leaned, wiggled, or gobbled their way to the finish line. But every single student showed grit, imagination, and collaboration.
